The Law of Attraction

April 25th, 2010

The Law of AttractionBottom line, you can harnass the Law of Attraction to find your soulmate or to obtain anything else you desire in life. Quantum physics has proven and defines the Law of Attraction as being the mutual (shared in common) action by which bodies or particles tend to draw together or cohere (hold together in a mass that resists separation). Like attracts like. This means to find your soulmate, you need to make yourself into the person you wish to attract and stay together with.

Now it’s very important to point out here that the law does not state that what is attracted is that which is dreamed about or lusted after.  This is why so many fail in their attempts to use the Law of Attraction to manifest their desires. You must genuinely be LIKE (in how you live, speak and act) that which you wish to have. We must freely give what we want to receive. Remember, like attracts like. We attract what we are, not what we want. The law cannot be fooled… ”Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

I don’t believe the Law of Attraction is real, I KNOW it is through careful observation and experimentation in my own life. The Law of Attraction, also known as Karma, explains how and why God’s justice is unwaveringly perfect.  Think about it.  If we always-only-ever receive that which we give (and we do) what could be more just or benevolent? I can think of no greater gift from our creator than to be governed by such a fair and loving law.

This is why the golden rule is so important, why Christ said, ”So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”  He says, “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” He doesn’t say it might be, he says it will be.  What you do WILL be done to you. What you GIVE will return to you. This is the most urgent teaching of all true profits, and the most important thing you need to learn and apply to everything in your life. It is always at work, and the sooner you become aware of it the better.

The Law of Attraction not only gives back to you that which you choose of your own free will to give to others, it gives you exactly what you need to heal and be whole. When we receive things we don’t like, it’s for our own good. This is so that we can learn right from wrong, truth from fallacy, fantasy from reality, and make corrections to our course. Like a good parent, Karma is always working in our best interest, and to give us the things we need, so that we can be the best we can be.

It is also important to clarify that the Law of Attraction (Karma) is impartial. It does not sit in judgement over us. We are the critics. It is devoid of good and evil, or the knowledge of anything. It knows nothing. We humans are the knowers. Think of it as a mechanical law governing our field of operation and nothing more.

Now back to how to apply this law to finding your soulmate. If you want a soulmate to love and accept you unconditionally, love and accept yourself unconditionally. If you want a soulmate to always tell you the truth about how they feel, always tell the truth about how you feel. If you want a soulmate who is faithful, be faithful. If you want a soulmate to listen and hear what you are saying, listen and hear what others are saying. I could keep going but I think you get the point.

Every relationship is a MIRROR in which to see your own reflection. Your feelings about yourself when with someone, as well as your judgments about them, are simply truths about HOW YOU ARE… what you are giving in that relationship. Your feelings and judgements pinpoint exactly where you need to make adjustments in your own personality in order to better reflect your true likeness. Your true likeness is the secret self you keep hidden, the REAL you, the one you want to be loved unconditionally. A soulmate relationship is one in which you feel like you can be 100% yourself, in which you feel fully known and accepted.

The key to finding the perfect partner is to make your reflection perfect.  This means not wearing a mask, and not pretending to be who you think you need to be in order for the other person to love you. Make who you are on the inside match who you present yourself to be, no dichotomy. Until you can love yourself enough to BE who you really are with someone else, without worrying about what they think, or if they’ll accept you, you will never find your soulmate. Instead you will keep attracting partners who cannot be honest with you… because remember, like attracts like.

If you attract partners who are emotionally unavailable, it means you are emotionally unavailable and need to learn how to open up and trust. If you attract someone who is jealous and possessive, it means you are jealous and possessive and need to learn how to stop trying to control how things turn out, to release attachment to the outcome, and how to give emotional space and freedom to others.
